Community Events and Fundraisers that benefit Ridgewood Residents:

Trivia for Milo:

Some of you may know Sarah and Kevin Kunkel, who live on Linden Court with their two children, Wesley and Quinn. The Kunkels will be hosting a trivia fundraiser in support of their nonprofit organization, For Milo, at Midwest Coast Brewery on April 14th, at 3PM.

In 2020, Sarah and Kevin were given the news all parents fear when they learned their son, Milo, would be born with a birth defect called a congenital diaphragmatic hernia (CDH). Milo passed 18 days after his birth, leading Sarah and Kevin to create a nonprofit in support of raising awareness for CDH, knowing others could benefit if this condition was better understood. To date, the family has raised over $23,000 and have donated that money directly back to organizations that support their cause as well as Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago, where Milo was cared for.
